FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

All you need to know - in one place!

  • WHAT TO

    WEAR?

You will feel the wind in the air, so wear a sweatshirt or a sweater and trousers. Wear a jacket or a down jacket, too, if you are easily cold. In cooler days, you can wear all of the above.

  • WHAT KIND OF SHOES DO I NEED?

You need good shoes that protect your feet and ankles. You can wear walking boots or trainers. Avoid flip-flops, sandals or other open footwear.

  • WHAT IS

    A LAUNCH SITE?

Launch sites can be grassy or stony. They are marked with colourful windsocks along the hillside. You will get all the needed information for taking off at the launch site from your pilot. The pilot will also give you a helmet and a harness.

  • WHAT IS

    A LANDING site?

A landing site is a grassy area by the lake, between big fields and a big parking lot. Nearby there is also a volleyball court and a restaurant. If you have somebody with you that isn’t flying, he or she can wait for you there and document your flight and landing.

  • HOW DO I GET TO

    THE LAUNCH SITE?

You’ll drive with us (our van) from the meeting point. Then we take a cable car and a chairlift to Vogel (higher launch) or we ride with a car, followed by a short stroll to Vogar (lower launch). Getting to the launch will take you all together about 30 minutes.

  • WHERE IS THE MEETING SPOT?

Our meeting point is at the Hostel pod Voglom (Ribčev Laz 60, 4265 Bohinjsko jezero). We meet there and head together to the launch site. You can also park your car there.

  • WHO WILL BE

    MY PILOT?

Your pilot will be either Alen, Ambrož or Matic. You can read about them and their experiences in the PILOTS tab. If there are more than three of you, don’t worry, we can arrange more pilots.

  • WHAT ARE AEROBATICS?

Aerobatics are manoeuvres that give you an adrenaline rush and enable you to feel the g-force. It may feel like an amusement park, but better. We usually do spiral dives and wingovers.

  • DO I HAVE TO DO AEROBATICS?

No, you don’t have to do aerobatics. The pilot will ask you, weather you want to do them or not, so you can decide mid-air, depending on your current condition.

  • CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?

Yes, you can. Your hands are free during the flight.

However, it is your responsibility to take care of your phone or camera.

  • HOW LONG

    DOES IT TAKE?

Normally it takes around 1 hour and a half from meeting us until returning back to the meeting point.

  • HOW CAN

    I PAY?

We accept payment after your paragliding experience. You can pay with cash or a credit card. If you wish to pay in advance, you can use our online booking and pre-paid system. You can go to Booking, select Online and pay in advance.

  • IS THERE

    AN AGE LIMIT?

There is no age limit, only a weight one. The minimum is 30 kg or 67 pounds. In suitable weather conditions, weight limits can vary, either up or down. If the person who wants to fly is near the weight limit, please let us know.

  • DISEASES AND PREGNANCY

For paragliding it is important to have a basic fitness level (fitness required for driving a car). Conditions such as pregnancy, heart conditions, physical impairment etc. do not necessarily exclude paragliding, but may require further consultation prior to confirmation.
